Good Afternoon Everyone. Welcome to the World Day of Remembrance 2023 event.
World Day of Remembrance (WDoR)
Welcome to WDoR. WDoR stands for World Day of Remembrance which was started in 1993 by Road Peace for traffic victims.
Since then WDoR has been observed and promoted by the European Federation of Road Traffic Victims.
It was later endorsed by the United Nations as a Global Day for Traffic Victims in 2005.
On this day, we pay tribute to all road victims who have lost their lives on our roads, those who were severely injured, support families who lost their ones and lastly take action to save lives.
We also pay tribute to all the front liners like the Traffic Police, Civil Defense, Land Transport Authority, and hospitals for their tireless work.
This year's theme for wdor is JUSTICE.
Let all do justice by being a responsible road user.
