What if I am unable to complete the necessary steps?

If you are unable to follow the steps due to any special circumstances or valid reasons (eg. severe injury), insurers will give your claim special
    consideration.

Do note that if an accident happens on Saturday evening, then it must be reported by Monday evening (next working day).

If I agree to a private settlement, do I still need to make a report?

A private settlement agreement does not change the requirement under the MCF that both or all parties must report the accident to their respective
insurers. A private settlement agreement is not a substitute for reporting to your insurer.

(For Vehicle Companies) Some of our clients may be unfamiliar with the MCF. If they do not follow the necessary steps within the 24-hour time frame, how would this affect us?

The 24-hour requirement applies to all vehicles including rentals. Clearly relay the terms and conditions of your insurance policies regarding your rental
fleet, and highlight the 24-Hour requirement to your hirer when they collect their car.

Is it compulsory to take and submit digital pictures of my accident?

No, it is not compulsory to take and submit digital pictures, but it is strongly encouraged as it will help your insurer assess and process your claim efficiently.

Who can help me assess my liability in an accident?

In complicated cases, it is seldom straightforward to assess the liability of the parties involved. This is why it is highly important to engage the help of an expert, especially when the facts of an accident are being disputed.

Such cases that are brought to court usually require a personal injury lawyer. However, exorbitant litigation fees do not make this a viable option for many.

With our extensive knowledge in motor laws, years of experience, and proven track record, our accident assessment experts are a choice option for those
who require legal help. Whether you were involved in a car or motorcycle accident in Singapore, contact us today for assistance.
